“okay, I will.” Nora grinned at him; relishing in how happy he looked, the way his eyes shone with it. Laughter was the best medicine for everything and if this was her medicine for the next little while, she could handle that. Forts and Fairylights weren’t as innocent at they used to be, now, but neither were She and Heath. Growing up was hard, but right now, Nora could remember why she had wanted to grow up in the first place. for the magic and the fun.

“so you been up so much?” biting his lip softly he played with a strand of her dark hair.

“Uh…” Nora didn’t know what to say, because I have an eating disorder and I’ve been seeing a therapist and I’m pretty sure everyone thinks I’m nuts. Wasn’t a good conversation to be having. “I was talking to my dad about what I want to do when I leave high school. I’ve looked at a few schools, nothing set in stone yet.” She smiled up at him. “what about you?”

Scratching the side of his face, he simply smiled,”Em, I started back to basketball just.” He was hardly going to come out with, Oh hey-my mom and dad are splitting up and my dad knows that I’m a nervous wreck.

“Oh, does this mean I get to come back and watch the team completely suck because half of you are too busy ogling at the cheerleads?” Nora asked, a faux innocent look on her face. It wasn’t until then that she realised just how much she liked hanging out with Heath, how much she loved watching him do the things he loved doing; how he shone while doing them.

Heath opened his mouth in fake shock,”Excuse me I do not ogle! Well at the cheerleaders anyway.” Winking he laughed-he loved seeing her at the games to cheer him on as his best friend, but now it was different.
